Some wear (rubbing) and and light soiling to the binding. Some soiling to the edges of the pages. Name stamped on the front paste-down endpaper. CONDITION: The book is in Near Good condition (Fine is our highest grade, then Very Good, then Good). Soiling to the covers (see photograph) and top edge. Some staining to the fore-edge. The leaf containing pages 19 and 20 has a small hole (1 1/4" x 1/4"), it's diagnal, so the four or five lines on each page can easily be figured out by the remaining portions of the words and the context. There is also a 2 1/4" piece of browned transparent tape that is covering a closed tear on page 260. That said, the book is tight and intact with solid hinges. Otherwise, the dust jacket is in Very Good condition with a nice illustration of two young people in black and white above a house (washed in light orange) and a deep orange background.
